Takatoo, is bi-annual (Pashto and English), open access, double-blind, peer-reviewed, leading academic and research endeavor of Pashto Department, University of Balochistan, Quetta incepted in January, 2009. The name "Takatoo" is after the historical Mount peace located in Sulaiman Mountains range in the North east of Quetta, Capital of Balochsitan. Although it is mandatorily focusing on research papers on Pashto language, linguistics, Literature, Culture, History, Archeology, and anthropology but the journal has also open its pages for high quality research papers on the inter-disciplinary themes, comparative studies and innovative and emerging themes in the domain of postmodern and postcolonial studies. Takatoo accepts only original and unpublished research papers for publication and the research papers submitted to Takatoo must not be under consideration for publication anywhere. The research papers published in Takatoo are available in print and online. In order to maximize impact of their research papers, authors are allowed to share it without any charges.In order to get recognized in above categories, the concerned team of Takatoo journal has been actively working on further improving the quality, frequency, dissemination, partnerships and linkages with academic and research institutions in the country, region and world.
